When you take on the role of caring for a loved one, you become the most important person in someone’s life. What you do day in and day out can be very rewarding.

But the going can be lonely, even overwhelming, and sometimes you just don’t know where to turn.

All that is about to change.

Caregiver Homes from Seniorlink offers a free program called Adult Family Living (AFL). It supports caregivers by connecting you with a clinical care team that guides you as you care for someone 65 or older. The AFL program can change your life. It includes:

  • Payment. Caring for a loved one takes time, energy, and often added expenses. If you qualify, the AFL program provides tax-free payments for the care you are giving.

  • Coaching. When you have a question about your loved one's care or are overwhelmed with options, your dedicated care team can help you decide what is best.

  • Connection. When you have a question, you can log in to Vela, our app that connects you to your care team and provides tips and resources to guide you.

  • Comfort. When you are feeling alone and unsure, you will have a caregiving expert to talk to who has helped others just like you.
